We have two types of partnership programs – wholesale partners and affiliates.
Wholesale Partners: for this relationship, we provide a 15% discount on our services to our Partner. This includes access to the following services:
- Website hosting (special rates)
- DNS
- VOIP
- Domain registration and renewal, but only if bundled with other services
- Access and development permissions for most of our DIVI, Bricks, and WordPress plugins (“concierge”) provided we host the client’s website.
- Monitoring
- Cloud services (e.g. NextCloud, Wasabi storage)
- Third party services (e.g. MSP360, Carbonite, Enpass, VPN) where we’re the affiliate partner
Partners generally include website developers, graphic designers, computer technicians/shops, and related businesses. Our partners use our resources to develop client websites and other services, and we provide the technical background and expertise necessary to provision and maintain all appropriate services. We’re the backend – all interactions with the client, including support and billing, are through you. We also provide concierge plugin support to you, not to your client, through our own support portal. You are the contact for all monitoring emails. We do not restrict your markup policy for services that we bill directly to you. In effect, our products and services are whitelabeled to you.
Affiliates: generally, affiliates are “referral” partners. That is, they refer friends, clients, and contacts to us for any service that we provide. Affiliates can choose which payment plan they prefer: Plan A: 100% of the first month’s recurring billing, or Plan B: 7% of monthly recurring billing for a maximum of two years, or Plan C: straight 3% of the first month’s collected billing for a referral that leads to a sale. Plans A and B assume some sales effort – that is, clients have at least been qualified and have a decent chance of signing up for services, and in the best case, the sale has been closed.
- Plan A: (core services only) does not include fees for design or development, or for features and upgrades provided at a later date. Payout after three months collected billing, no payout if customer cancels services after one or two months. Substantial advance sales effort and qualification is required to differentiate this Plan from Plan C.
- Plan B: requires at least one sale or upgrade per quarter. In other words, this plan requires a minimal ongoing sales commitment. This plan includes compensation for design and/or development fees during the two year referral window. Plan B reverts to Plan C if sales aren’t maintained.
- Plan C: (core services only) unlike Plans A and B, which require some sales effort from the affiliate, this Plan is a simple referral only – from ads, social media posts, or website links. Referrals are paid only after the first month’s collected billing, and do not include design or development charges or recurring revenue.
For affiliates, we provide support and services, as well as billing, directly to the client. Affiliates must choose their referral plan as part of their onboarding process. They can change plans once per year. The referral fee or hardware, software, non-shared hosting, or other services is paid on net, not gross – for example, a VOIP phone costs $110 and is billed at $160. The net is $50, and that is the amount on which the referral fee is calculated.
Affiliate commissions cannot be collected for personal sites. Wholesale partners are free to host whomever they please.
