We have a unlimited/lifetime “Ultimate” license, which means that WordPress sites that we develop and/or host can use it. However, if they move hosting elsewhere, we would cancel their license — this means they can use the plugin, but would be unable to get security updates or support. Therefore, they would need to purchase their own license. Some customers might want their own license anyway, so this is the perfect opportunity to offer it to them.
