Explanation
We’re a hosting company. Although we specialize in hosting WordPress, we support other CMS software as well – Drupal, Joomla, and so on. All hosting packages include DNS (Domain Name Service) as well as program and file storage. Most of our tools and plugins are WordPress related, although our backup and restore policies are CMS independent.
We backup all sites daily using a “file system backup,” which means that all sites are backed-up at the same time. If we have to restore from the file system backup, we retrieve and unpack the entire backup and then restore the individual site.
We also offer “cloud backup” as part of our managed packages. The cloud backup is generally daily, although a more frequent backups schedule (e.g. every hour, or every four hours) is available. The advantage of cloud backups is that a site can be restored anytime and for any reason.
If your site is hacked, we have tools that can help get your site backup up and running quickly. First, we might be notified of the hack from our WordFence plugin. Second, we use our backups (file system or cloud) to restore your site to a point in time prior to the hack.
WordFence plugin comes in two versions: the free version and the premium version ($119/year). The premium version offers real-time access to rules and experience from the vendor’s database of breeches; the free version has a 30 day delay in accessing those rules and experiences, and might be less effective in stopping breeches.
We have four basic plans
$25/mo: this is our business card plan or DIY plan. It includes website hosting, DNS, and file system backups. You are responsible for managing your website, selecting your builder, keeping your plugins updated, and troubleshooting in the event your site is hacked. Restores from our file system backup are $50 per instance. This is also a DIY option, and is assumed to be very low maintenance and traffic.
$45/mo: this is our basic plan, and includes website hosting, DNS, and file system backups. You are responsible for managing your website, selecting your builder, keeping your plugins updated, and troubleshooting in the event your site is hacked. We can provide use of our builder licenses (Divi, Oxygen, Bricks), but not our Agency licenses. Restores from our file system backup are $50 per instance. This is also a DIY option.
$95/mo: this plan is hardened to provide you with several additional levels of security. First, we manage your plugins, insuring that they are always up to date. We also enable our cloud backup in addition to our regular file system backup. If your site is hacked, we undo the hack and/or recover your site from backup for no charge. This is also a DIY option.
$179/mo: Besides all the benefits of the $95/mo plan, this plan gives you access to all of our licensed plugins – and we have many. For example, you can use one of our builder platforms to build your website (Oxygen, Bricks, or Divi) with our design assistance. Contact us for a complete list of current plugins and capabilities.
